LotFotL Community Farm grows vegetable and herb crops on Certified Organic land in East Troy, WI, at Michael Fields Agricultural Institute. LotFotL was given its start as a business at MFAI through an innovate program whereby someone with a reasonable amount of experience, and capital, is able to start their business with access to Michael Fields infrastructure.  This is called the Enterprise Development program, but is also referred to as an “incubator” farm.  We're just getting ready to manure and plow in the last of the season's crops. At year's end, we've managed to double our money as a first year farming operation. We will triple our scale next year, and take on up to two interns. It's a great time to get paid to learn how to be a farmer!
